We have been serving individuals and families across southern Wisconsin since 1946.
Catholic Charities supports individuals and families in need—regardless of faith or background—empowering them to live with dignity and purpose. Rooted in the values of our faith, we provide essential services, including food assistance, support for those experiencing homelessness, substance use treatment, and programs for seniors and people with disabilities. Through compassion and community, we strive to offer hope and make a lasting impact.
NEW PROGRAM FOR 2025
Introducing 'Walking With Moms'
Walking with Moms helps Catholic parishes support pregnant and parenting women in difficult situations by providing authentic Christian friendship and connections to local resources. The ministry also supports dads and families.
Our Programs
From addressing hunger to homelessness and recovery support, Catholic Charities has been supporting communities for more than 75 years.
Aging
We walk alongside older adults and those affected by dementia through programs that foster connection, provide specialized care, and honor the dignity of every person we serve.
Children & Families
From mentoring and peer support to food access and parish-based outreach, we strengthen families across southern Wisconsin by meeting them where they are with compassion and care.
Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities
We support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living full, meaningful lives through residential care, community involvement, and person-centered services.
Homelessness
When our neighbors face homelessness or hunger, we respond with immediate, practical care — daytime shelter, warm meals, essential supplies, and connections to resources that help build a path forward.
Substance Use Treatment
Through our 5 Door Recovery program, we offer compassionate, substance use treatment that addresses the whole person — body, mind, and spirit — on the journey to lasting recovery.
Multicultural Programs
The Catholic Multicultural Center welcomes Madison’s diverse communities with culturally responsive programming, including English language classes, immigration legal services, food assistance, and community connection.
Catholic Charities partners with local parishes and the Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin to provide individuals and families in rural areas access to nutritional food.
