Community Integration
About Community Connections
Catholic Charities’ Community Connections program is a day service for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Rock County, Wis. The program offers the opportunity for daily community integration and meaningful activity, both in the community and at the program facility in Janesville.
Who We Serve
Community Connections serves adults aged 18 and older, residing in the greater Rock County area. The individuals who attend Community Connections are identified as those who would benefit from social and recreational activities rather than vocational activities.
The main goal of Community Connections is community integration. This allows all Participants to be able to access their communities and be a part of their surroundings. Outings are geared towards the likes and dislikes as well as the needs of each Participant. Outings are meaningful in nature and provide unique experiences that Participants may not otherwise experience.
Community Connections also provides meaningful in-house activities. Each day, a Participant will be involved in crafts, cooking projects, diversity activities, independence learning skills, etc. Staff work in teams with their peers to makes sure all Participants have a great day.
