Madison, Wis. – Catholic Charities Diocese of Madison, the charitable arm of the Catholic Church in Southern Wisconsin, announced today the appointment of Kyle Schwarm, Michele Trewitt and Paul Wrycha to its board of directors.
Schwarm serves as the director of communications and marketing for the Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin, a statewide construction trade association based in Madison. Trewitt is an accountant who worked previously for an accounting firm in Madison. Wrycha is the managing partner for the Madison office of Foley & Lardner LLP.

In his marketing and communications role for ABC of Wisconsin, Schwarm collaborates with his team to disseminate crucial information within the construction industry, fostering engagement among the association’s 970 member firms. The Racine native has served on many local and national non-profit committees and boards. He earned a B.A. in Journalism from UW-Eau Claire and an M.S. in Corporate Communication from UW-Whitewater. Alongside his professional endeavors, Schwarm is an active member of St. Dennis Catholic Church in Madison and has led a small faith-sharing group for many years, showcasing his commitment to community and faith-based initiatives.
Trewitt, a native of Allen Park, Michigan, brings a strong foundation in faith and community service to her role on the board. Growing up in a family deeply involved with St. Francis Cabrini Parish in Allen Park, Trewitt served as an altar server and actively participated in various church events. Her passion for giving back continued during her time at Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, where she studied accounting and gained a global perspective through a study abroad program in Ireland. Her professional journey led her to PWC in Detroit as a state and local tax accountant, followed by a move to Madison after her husband began to work for Epic. She attends St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Madison and is active in the local Notre Dame Club.
Wrycha is a seasoned partner and transactional lawyer with over 25 years of expertise at Foley & Lardner LLP. He brings a wealth of experience from his roles as the former chair of the firm’s Venture & Growth Capital Practice and vice chair of the Private Equity & Venture Capital Practice. He holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Marquette University Law School, where he served as the executive editor of the Marquette Law Review and is an active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace in Madison, demonstrating his commitment through years of involvement in the grade school as a basketball coach, and in the church, as an usher and a member of the finance council.
Directors on the Catholic Charities Board of Directors are elected for an initial term of three years and may serve up to two terms.
