Ashlyn Mehlhaff has been appointed as the new Director of Development at Catholic Charities, a non-profit organization which provides social services and supports individuals and families in need – regardless of faith or background – on behalf of the Catholic Church in southern Wisconsin.

Mehlhaff brings to Catholic Charities a wealth of experience and a proven track record in nonprofit leadership and development, including roles in New Orleans, Knoxville, and Pittsburgh before settling in Madison in 2015.

“We are thrilled to have Ashlyn join our team,” said Shawn Carney, executive director of Catholic Charities. “Her extensive experience in leading nonprofit organizations, along with her creative development strategies, is exactly what we need to further our community engagement efforts.”

Since 1946, Catholic Charities has provided essential services throughout 11 counties in southern Wisconsin, offering food assistance, support for people experiencing homelessness, substance use treatment, and programs for older adults and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Mehlhaff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Loyola University and the University of New Orleans. She has also been recognized with several awards, including In Business Madison’s “Forty Under 40” class of 2024.

Mehlhaff and her husband, Taylor, are blessed with three daughters, Bennett, Hollyn and Teaghan, and are members of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Madison. She can be reached at amehlhaff@ccmadison.org or (608) 607-4697.
