Parish Social Ministries

Faith in action — serving neighbors through parish communities across southern Wisconsin

Our Programs

Parish Social Ministries equips congregations to live out their faith by serving their neighbors. Through parish-rooted teams, Catholic Charities of Madison supports programs that visit isolated older adults, bring nutritious food to rural communities, and walk alongside mothers and families during pregnancy and beyond. These ministries are carried out by volunteers trained and supported by Catholic Charities — putting faith into action one community at a time.

Care Team Ministry

Catholic Charities trains and supports congregation-based volunteer teams who make regular social visits to older adults who may be isolated in their homes or care facilities.

Mobile Food Pantries

Catholic Charities partners with Second Harvest and local parishes to provide individuals and families in rural areas access to nutritional food.

Walking With Moms

Walking With Moms is a parish-based program that walks alongside women during pregnancy and beyond, connecting them with the care, resources, and community support they need.
