Looking for a friendly space to host your next meeting or community event? The CMC is happy to offer space rentals for events and meetings that engage the community we serve. Our Beld St. location rents space to other non-profit agencies and community organizations for a variety of events, meetings, and gatherings. For private parties, please see our space at CMC West.

The Catholic Multicultural Center has automatic door openers at both entrances, with handicap accessible bathrooms on the main floor.

Spaces Available for Rental

Community Room
Room Size: 1,420 sq ft
Maximum Capacity: 50 people classroom-style, 80 people theater-style

The Community Room is the largest space available for rent at CMC Beld St. This space features tables and chairs that can be set up in various configurations for different audience sizes, and a sink in the back makes for easy serving of refreshments. Projector, wall-mounted projector screen, and sound system may be available for use by request.

Conference Room
Room Size: 520 sq ft
Maximum Capacity: 25 people
The Conference Room is a great space for hosting meetings where everyone can gather around the table. Windows overlooking Beld St. and a grouped table configuration make this a great space for your next group meeting. This room does not have audio/visual equipment available.

Classrooms 5 & 6
Room Size: 380 sq ft
Maximum Capacity: 15 people
These classrooms feature tables, chairs, large windows, and a whiteboard. Large monitor screens are mounted on the wall for your next presentation (hook-ups to your laptop are available through HDMI, VGA, and Chromecast; cables are provided). Rental price is just for one classroom; both rooms 5 & 6 have the same size and attributes.

Building Security: When providing access to the community it is essential that we provide a safe environment for our staff, volunteers, building tenants and visitors. If you have an evening meeting it is likely the entrance doors to the building will be locked prior to the end of your meeting (approx. 7:30pm). Please be sure all your attendees know this in case they need to leave and return to the building, or if you have late arrivals.

Room Setup: You are welcome to arrange tables and chairs the way you would like them, but we ask that you return them to the original configuration before leaving. Some rooms are setup as classrooms and others for conference meetings.

Meeting Supplies and Equipment: The CMC does have some meeting supplies (flip charts, markers), and AV equipment available. CMC does not provide consumable supplies such as napkins, disposable tableware, etc, but facility user may bring their own. Please indicate what items you may need when making the room reservation. (Please see the rate charts below.)

Room Cleanup: We ask that the rooms be left in the same condition in which the group found them. This includes wiping off the tables and chairs and placing trash and recyclables in garbage containers. Please return tables and chairs to where they were when you arrived.

Noise: Sound must be kept at a reasonable level and must not disturb others working in the building.

Decorations: The use of nails, tape, tacks or the like to fasten decorations or other materials to walls, doors or from the ceiling is prohibited. Items that are hard to clean such as glitter and confetti should not be used.

Responsibility: The contact person included on the reservation must be on the premises at all times. They are responsible for the behavior of any and all event attendees.

Alcohol & Smoking: Alcohol and Smoking are not permitted on the CMC property at any time.

Lost items: The CMC cannot be responsible for items left by participants. Staff will assist in relocating items, if possible.

Failure to comply with conditions of use will result in termination of any scheduled future use of the Catholic Multicultural Center.

Space Rental at CMC West (Fitchburg)

Let the CMC meet your space rental needs! Our CMC Fitchburg location is a full service banquet hall perfect for private events such as parties for graduation, retirement, holidays and more. It is also an ideal location for business meetings and luncheons, charitable events, and church and non-profit functions. We are centrally located in the Greater-Madison area, just off Verona Road, with plenty of on-site parking. Weekday, weekday evening, and weekend room rental options are available.

Pricing

$600 flat fee

Price applies to all types of banquet hall rentals on evenings, weekends, and weekdays.

Building Purpose & Use

CMC West is a subsidiary of the Catholic Multicultural Center and is the primary location of the Culinary Creations Catering food service employment training program.

Hours of Operation

CMC West is available to the public for rental Monday – Saturday, 7am – midnight. With approval, decoration can be done the day before

Minimum & Maximum Capacity

CMC West is able to host events for 30 – 200 people in the Banquet Hall.

Facility Rental Rates

Flat rate of $600 for any facility rental, up to 8 hours
All events must conclude by midnight.

Extended Hours: $100/hour

Choice of cash or open bar
$25/hr bartender’s rate plus beverage cost (Two bartenders are required for parties of over 100 people)

Bar services are provided by the Knights of Columbus, who hold the appropriate alcohol licensing. CMC has no role in, nor takes any responsibility for alcohol service. Patrons wishing bar service will be put in touch with the KOC representative.

Payments

The flat $600 fee is to be paid at the time of booking in order to hold the date for your event.
In the event of property damage or required professional cleaning, the responsible party will be billed for all associated cleaning and repair costs.

Catering Policies

CMC West offers catering for events and is also happy to recommend caterers for customers to contact and work with directly. For Culinary Creations Catering menu options, please contact Lynn Heinman.

The kitchen at CMC West is not accessible to guests or caterers, so please make sure that any food brought in does not require any additional preparation.

Customers can place an order with Culinary Creations Catering in one of two manners:

1. Send an e-mail to the Catering Manager.
2. Complete a food order form during meeting with Catering Manager

Cancellations

Cancellations by the sponsor more than 30 days before the scheduled event will receive 100% refund. Payment for events canceled less than 30 days before the event cannot be refunded.

Guest Info & Policies

No Outside Beverages: All beverages served during an event must be purchased through our bartending service. This is a cash or open bar and there is a $25/hr charge per bartender. Two bartenders are required for parties of over 100 people.

**In accordance with state laws, the patron or patron’s guests or invitees may not bring alcoholic beverages into the facility or onto any premise of CMC West (parking lot, outside, etc). If hosts or attendees violate this policy, the authorities will be notified and the event will be shut down.**

No Smoking: CMC West is a smoke free facility. For the health of all patrons and staff, anyone smoking outdoors is asked to refrain from doing so directly in front of entrance doorways. All cigarette butts and smoking related remnants must be disposed of in the proper receptacles.

Parking Lot: Guests must only park in marked parking stalls. The stalls near the kitchen door are reserved for kitchen staff and catering van. No beverages from the event are allowed to be consumed in the parking lot.

Decorations: Only approved decorations are allowed in the facility. (Please ask the facility manager for a list of approved decorations.) No glitter, confetti, or other loose materials are allowed to be spread on tables or floors. Decorations may not be nailed, pinned, or likewise fastened directly to walls or ceiling. Only tape or temporary fixtures approved by the facility will be allowed for hanging decorations. Please inform the facility manager if hanging decorations is necessary.

Clean Up: Event sponsors are responsible for ensuring the hall is left in a reasonable condition. Trash and recyclables should be deposited in the appropriate receptacles. All materials and items brought into the facility for the event should be removed immediately after the event. If the facility is left damaged or in a disorderly condition, the responsible party or organization will be held liable.

Personal Property: The CMC West is not responsible for lost or stolen items of guests or attendees of events held in the facility. If CMC staff should find an item of value left after an event, we will contact the sponsor and it will be the sponsor’s responsibility to make arrangements to retrieve the item(s). Such items not claimed after 30 days will be disposed of or donated.

Liability: Sponsor/Renter agrees to indemnify and hold the CMC and Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, its employees, volunteers, officers and insurers harmless from any and all damages to persons or property arising from the negligent or willful acts of the sponsor’s guests, agents, employees and contractors.
