The Beacon offers access to essential services and connects individuals with providers who offer health care and housing assistance.
Basic Needs & Wellness
The Beacon provides a safe shelter for people who are homeless 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The facility offers the following free services:
- Daily lunch
- Private showers & restrooms
- Laundry (drop off – same day service)
- Mail Center, phones, copier & fax
- Day storage
- Preventative healthcare
- Private family areas
- Referrals for mental health counseling
- Referrals to case managers
- Transportation between night shelters
Other Services
Mail Center
Receive mail and packages for free at The Beacon, mail is sorted and logged for pickup. This address can be used for administrative purposes.
Access to Phones
Use phones to make calls, The Beacon staff will receive messages for you if you are not present.
Identification Assistance
Help applying for identification cards. If you have lost your ID card The Beacon staff can help you replace it.
Computer Lab & Classes
Access to a quiet computer lab space with internet access, staff can provide assistance with resumes and more.
