The Badger Herald this week highlighted Catholic Charities of Madison’s 5 Door Recovery center in a story addressing concerns about increased cocaine use in Dane County. Laurie Duraney, a licensed clinical social worker and 5 Door Recovery’s clinical supervisor, reported about 50% of patients come to the center seeking help with a primary cocaine addiction, and that number has been increasing.
5 Door Recovery was developed in 2020 to address the increasing needs of the substance use epidemic by providing a holistic and trauma-sensitive approach to treatment and recovery.
