CompanionCare promotes self-reliance and encourages older adults to stay engaged in the community.

Companions are mature employees who offer socialization, assistance with transportation and errands, personal care assistance, medication reminders, light housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, exercise, Alzheimer’s and Dementia-specific care, and respite for caregivers. The Program Coordinator carefully matches Companions and clients to facilitate a meaningful and long-term relationship.

In addition, our Companions are specifically trained in the complexities of dementia. They provide direct service to individuals with mid to late stage Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia and respite for family caregivers. Problem solving and education on best practice approaches are also available for family caregivers of CompanionCare clients with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia.
