Dave has been living with a Traumatic Brain Injury since a car accident changed his life nearly 20 years ago. He receives support through the Catholic Charities Supportive Living Program for his impulsivity, anger and medical issues and requires a high level of supervision. Dave always strives to live independently at home, but has had staff in his home 24 hours a day since his accident.
Over the last year, Dave has been successful in achieving a long-term goal of his - to live more independently. Dave feels a great deal of personal satisfaction over being able to achieve a level of independence that for many years he thought might never be possible.
