“The developmentally disabled population is amongst the most vulnerable - and valuable - in our society. Catholic Charities believes that how we treat them is a reflection on us, our mission and our community.—Brian Cain, President, Catholic Charities

Adult Family Home
Adult Family Homes are homes within the community in which individuals, 18 years or older, are placed who cannot live independently because of aging, mental or physical disabilities. Adult Family Homes provide safety, supervision and stability for individuals and serve as an alternative to nursing homes or institutional care. They are designed to develop and maintain the skills and independence of the individual.

Birth to 3
The earlier a child’s developmental delays are discovered, the more opportunities there are for a child to increase skills and abilities. The goal is to help children participate in their communities.

Community Connections
Community Connections exists for the purpose of providing adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity for daily community integration and meaningful activity. We serve clients from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. Clients are assessed for admission to Community Connections following a recommendation by their case manager.

Community Living
The Community Living Program provides community-based residential support services to individuals with developmental disabilities living in Marquette County. The support that the Community Living Program offers enables adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible in the community and have maximum choice and control over their lives.

Developmental Disability Counseling
Developmental Disability Counseling exists for the sole purpose of helping persons with developmental disabilities experience maximum opportunity for self-actualization and integration. To this end, Developmental Disability Counseling promotes individual choice and each person’s right to freedom and dignity.

Recreation Programs
The goal for the Recreation Programs is to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in meeting their social, leisure, and recreational needs. Participants are given opportunities to increase their socialization, develop friendships, and stay active in the community.

Support Broker
The philosophy of the Support Broker Program is to provide services that assist in developing the self-sufficiency of individuals, and to protect, preserve, and promote dignity of all persons. Our belief is that people with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injury, and their families, have both the ability and the right to make decisions that influence their lives.

Supportive Living Program
The Supportive Living Program strives to provide support that enables persons with disabilities to live as independently as possible in their own homes in the community, and have maximum choice and control over their lives.

The program below is being offer by our office on 30 S. Franklin Street.  Please click the link to learn more about the program.

Caring for Myself
Program for African American primary caregivers of young and adult children with developmental disabilities. Our Caring for Myself program is now recruiting African American primary caregivers (e.g., mothers, grandmothers, aunts, etc.) of young and adult children who have developmental disabilities (e.g., epilepsy, autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, etc.) to participate in the program as clients or as health advisors. This program is free of charge to those who want to receive the service as clients or receive training to become a health advisor.
