Providing Help Since 1946

Catholic Charities of Madison, WI is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit agency affiliated with Catholic Charities USA, the nation's largest private network of people helping people.

We have served individuals and families in an eleven county area in south-central Wisconsin since 1946. The programs we have reach those who are facing the transitions of aging, living with a disability, in need of mental health counseling, having marital or family problems, need post adoption resources, live in rural communities, seeking help with alcohol or drug abuse, or men, women and children who are homeless. Our mission of charity is accomplished with the help of nearly 400 employees and 1,000+ volunteers. We serve and employ persons regardless of sexual orientation, religious, ethnic, racial or social background. We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.

The work we do is made possible with financial support from private donations, the United Way, county contracts, client fees, foundation grants and the Diocesan Annual Catholic Appeal. Catholic Charities is governed by a local Board of Directors and our services meet the exacting standards set by the Council of Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, Inc., one of the highest standards of quality in the United States.

We serve the following counties: Columbia, Dane, Grant, Green, Green Lake, Iowa, Jefferson, Lafayette, Marquette, Rock and Sauk.
