Catholic Charities Diocese of Madison Wisconsin About Us

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Madison

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Madison, is a private nonprofit agency affiliated with Catholic Charities USA, the nation's largest private network of people helping people. The organization has served individuals and families in an eleven county area in south central Wisconsin since 1946.

Our programs reach those who are facing the transitions of aging, living with a disability, experiencing abuse, dealing with a crisis pregnancy, seeking to adopt, having marital or family problems, or seeking help with alcohol or drug abuse. We serve and employ persons regardless of religious, ethnic, racial or social background.

Our work is made possible with financial support from private donations, United Ways, county contracts, client fees, foundation grants and Diocesan Services Appeal. The agency is governed by a local Board of Directors and employs more than 200 individuals.

As good stewards of the limited resources available for this work in the community, we actively promote and participate in local coalitions and network with other providers whenever possible to offer optimal care to program participants. A cadre of skilled, well-trained volunteers allows us to enhance a number of our programs. Our services meet the exacting standards set by the Council of Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, Inc., one of the highest standards of quality in the United States.

We serve the following counties: Columbia, Dane, Grant, Green, Green Lake, Iowa, Jefferson, Lafayette, Marquette, Rock and Sauk.
